The subject of the project is the construction of the Parkamp;Ride car park system together with the technical infrastructure in Toruń. As part of the project, two multi-storey parking complexes will be built, located at ul. Dziewulskiego (202 parking spaces) and at ul. The Olympics (217 seats). An integral part of the investment is the construction of ul. Kusocińskiego, which will act as an access road to the parking lot at ul. The Olympics. The car parks will be built in close proximity to the existing transport lines and the bus and tram loop, which will allow their integration into the public transport system. The objects will perform the functions of connecting nodes. The construction of Parkamp;Ride car parks will complement the city’s efforts to develop public transport in the city and integrate the entire communication system, while improving the quality of the environment in the region by reducing CO2 emissions. The idea of Parkamp;Ride car parks is to limit car traffic in the city centre by leaving the car in a free car park and using public transport (bus, tram). The main objective of the project is to reduce the level of CO2 emissions in the city by reducing the use of passenger cars for the efficient use of public transport. may 2021 — December 2022. The total value of the project is PLN 27 950 000.00 (eligible costs amount to PLN 22 723 577.23). VAT is an ineligible expenditure in the project. Requested amount of co-financing: 17 138 210.41 PLN. The project has final administrative decisions (construction permits and a decision to authorise the implementation of a road investment — with immediate enforceability) allowing for the commencement of construction works. The funding for the project was secured in the Multiannual Financial Forecast of the City of Toruń for the years 2021-2050.
