Construction of a bicycle road in the City of Białogard

The subject of the project is the construction of a two-way road for bicycles from the administrative boundaries of the city to the embankment of the former narrow-gauge railway to the bus stop at ul. Kisielice Large in Białogard. The applicant plans to implement the project in the “design and build” system. Therefore, it will start with the development of project documentation, thanks to which the applicant will obtain permits for the implementation of the investment. Then construction works will be carried out, as a result of which a 1.7 km long bicycle road will be created. The result of the project will be a reduction of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere of 0.02 Mg. The whole will be supervised by the contract engineer. Bicycle roads are an excellent alternative to individual car transport. The route planned for construction as part of the project will connect the bicycle road built as part of the KKBOF ZIT Strategy in the Białogard Commune with the currently emerging network of bicycle roads in the city and created in Białogard, but implemented by the West Pomeranian Voivodeship by a network of bicycle routes in Western Pomerania. Thanks to the new bike route, residents will be given the possibility of safe and collision-free access from the south-western edge of the city to the transfer center or the city centre. The bicycle road planned for implementation will affect the choice of this means of transport during the commuting of white-garden to work or school. A coherent road network for bicycles in KKBOF municipalities guarantees safe access to workplaces, schools or public institutions, using the greenest means of transport. This will undoubtedly reduce emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere and reduce the number of traffic accidents involving cyclists at KKBOF. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of infrastructure promoting ecological transport and will increase the level of road safety and fluidity.
