The aim of the project is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in 47 social welfare homes, 11 palliative and hospice care institutions, 10 shelters for homeless people 95 care and educational facilities, 56 support centres and 5 self-help clubs for people with mental disorders and 213 OPS. The above-mentioned support will be addressed to 7 998 employees of the mentioned institutions and a total of 9052 to patients/residents/homeless persons, i.e. 4,420 residents of social welfare homes, 572 persons covered by palliative and hospice care and 463 homeless persons, 1069 children’s care and educational facilities, 2,428 support centres and self-help clubs for people with mental disorders) through the purchase of personal protective equipment to protect the needs of residents of DPS, persons covered by palliative and hospice care and the homeless, wards, participants and employees of the institution. The implementation of the project will contribute to maintaining and adapting the functioning of these units to the COVID-19 outbreak and its consequences from 1 July 2021 to 30 April 2022. the number of supported entities operating at the end of the project was set at 85 %. The results of the measures taken will be to reduce the number of COVID-19 infections in the Voivodeship.
