Due to the outbreak in Poland and worldwide of the Sars-CoV-2 virus and the growing epidemic threat, it was necessary to create an IT system supporting activities related to preventing and combating the spread of the epidemic and enabling monitoring of the state of epidemic emergency in Poland. EWP is a system dedicated to supporting actions taken to prevent epidemics. Initially, the EWP was created in order to register the identification and contact data of persons entering the territory of the Republic of Poland and then it was extended to register persons subject to the obligation of quarantine or isolation at home. Other persons residing in a common household or in another place of residence during quarantine or isolation may also be registered in the EWP.The implementation of the project will enable the achievement of the following objectives:1) Providing e-services enabling the execution of tasks related to epidemic prevention and monitoring,2) Providing inter-institutional services, allowing for permanent and cyclical sharing of information to relevant entities carrying out tasks in the event of an epidemic,3) Provision of inter-system services, enabling automated data exchange between EWP and external systems,4) Further development of EWP, ensured system continuity by maintaining system efficiency and stability and further transformation of current connection interfaces between systems to REST API Key users of the system are employees of the National Sanitary Inspectorate (PIS) points of download of diagnostic material, medical diagnostic laboratories, doctors, Mundur Service employees, MZ,UW.
