The subject of the project will be the purchase of motorcycles for the Police, which will be deployed throughout the country, in accordance with the guidelines from the orders of the Police Headquarters. The equipment purchased under the Project is intended to meet the most urgent needs of the Police in the field of efficient supervision of road traffic and other official activities related to the formation of appropriate attitudes and behaviour among road users, thus ensuring road safety and response to traffic accidents. Its quantity corresponds to the needs arising from the standard of equipment and the vehicles to be withdrawn in the coming years. The equipment to be purchased under the Project — 478 heavy motorcycles for the road service will respond to the identified social and economic problems and will help achieve the objectives set out in the project and described in this study. Equipment that will be delivered to the police road service must meet the requirements of safety and functionality so that officers can carry out their official tasks without hindrance. The project will also purchase 876 sets of outfits for motorcyclists, which include: summer jacket for a motorcyclist with a lid, a winter jacket with a waterproof liner, trousers with a waterproof liner (used in summer and winter), a warning vest for police officers serving on motorcycles, summer gloves, winter gloves, shoes. The key element of effective implementation for the use of purchased motorcycles is to organise and conduct training of their users in the motorbike technology improvement centre (two police officers for the motorcycle). Additional tasks of the project will be the development of a feasibility study and promotional activities.
