The project concerns: exchange of a carbon-intensive heat source — coal boiler in the Youth Cultural Centre in Kluczbork for urban grid heat — scope of work: removal of the old coal boiler, adaptation of exchanger rooms, installation of the necessary CO fittings, modernisation of the CO installation; modernisation of the installation of c.w.u. through the purchase and installation of an electric boiler. CWU about volume. 250 l., purchase and installation of a PV installation, which will provide the energy needed for the operation of the electric boiler and preparation of the c.w.u.; the thermowork. — replacement of external doors to the building, attic windows, basement windows. The project results from a pro-environmental policy implemented by the Applicant for years in its subordinate facilities. The MDKu building is under conservation protection, entered into the Register of Monuments G.Kluczbork. The main objective of the project is to reduce the emission of CO2 as well as particulate matter PM10 in the impact area of the MDK — Kluczbork, and consequently to improve air quality in Kluczbork. This is a particularly important task in the context of many years of problems in meeting air quality standards in G. Kluczbork and the potential health risk of residents exposed to substances emitted by carbon-intensive boilers and furnaces, especially those fired with solid fuels, with an outdated design, while allowing the combustion of other unacceptable substances, such as domestic waste. The actions planned by the Kluczbork District are intended to reduce concentration levels primarily of PM10 and indirectly also benzo(a)pyrene. A parallel objective of the project’s actions is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of CO2, to counter the escalation of global warming and to adapt to climate change. The project is linked to the achievement of specific output indicators: Number of modernised heat sources — 1 pc; Number of decommissioned heat sources in public buildings — 1 pc.
