The operation has as its purpose the interconnection of supply systems by the construction of the pipeline that will connect the Alqueva System, to the ETA of Monte Novo. The supply subsystem of Monte Novo has a source that allows to increase the quality of the water provided by ensuring the continuous supply of the supply service to the Municipalities of Évora, Reguengos de Monsaraz and Mourão with a total population of about 66,000 inhabitants.
