Metabolic ICU provides the highest degree of intensive care for groups of critically ill adults (except polytraumats) who have failed or threatened basic vital functions. MIJP currently serves as a workplace where patients with severe conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are treated, if necessary, after their release from infectious ICUs. Reconstruction and equipment of the ICIP will help strengthen the resilience of FN Plzeň as a healthcare provider to the impact and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
