The project deals with modernisation of the traction line in four sections, modernisation of three switches of the tram network and one railway junction in Ostrava, thanks to which the line speed will gradually increase. Increasing the speed of the tram has two planes — increasing speed on the wide track and increasing the speed of passage through track structures (points). The implementation of the project will lead to modernisation of the tram network, acceleration of operation.
