Partnership for friendly educational communities in Farcasele

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT: Development of an integrated model to stimulate participation in education and prevention of the phenomenon of early school leaving for pupils from primary and secondary education in Farcasele village, Olt county, focused on non-formal education in the outdoor system. HOW THE PROJECT WILL GENERATE A LONG-TERM POSITIVE EFFECT: The project proposes an innovative model (including social innovation components) to address the general problem of early school leaving, as well as local needs in the Farcasele community in terms of education and harmonious development of students in this community. The project focuses on non-formal education in the outdoor system and proposes a multitude of activities focused not only on education and knowledge transmission, but above all on developing skills and competences that help students not only to perform academically, but also to explore their artistic side, to connect to colleagues, community, environment and to develop a value system based on communication, curiosity, enthusiasm and result focus. Through the workshops and circles organised by both S and P1, the students targeted through the project will have access to both themes known but perhaps not explored in the absence of opportunities like those offered by our project, as well as new topics such as astronomy and space exploration, development through dance and theatre. These will also be complemented with remedial educational activities to combat functional illiteracy and school abadon, as well as actions directly related to the physical and mental well-being of students (advice and support for easier transition from one school cycle to another, workshops and activities to combat bullying and health education. The project will generate positive long-term effects especially through the holistic/complete way in which it addresses students’ needs using both the experience and skills of the teachers with whom they already work or interact within schools, as well as experts from outside schools who complete the range of interventions focusing on familiarising students with topics that are less known to them. The project also contributes with a consistent material base at the level of each school, so that the model of activities developed and put into practice through this project will continue to produce effects after its completion, with the involvement of S and P1. On time, the project will: transform the 3 educational units into educational communities based on collaboration between teachers, pupils and parents and the real participation of students in the life of the school. create a positive school climate, beneficial to learning, responding to all learning styles and thus ensuring equal opportunities for participation in the educational process and development of various key competences. Children and teachers will experience well-being, curiosity
