‘Rehabilitation of thermal networks, district heating system in Iasi Municipality to increase energy efficiency in urban heat supply — Stage III’

The overall objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the district heating system in Iasi by reducing thermal energy losses in primary and secondary thermal networks. The result indicator for measuring the overall target is — Reducing heat losses in the transmission and distribution network by 58.3 TJ/year in 2024 compared to 2021, representing a reduction of 8.12 %. The expected contribution to achieving the result indicator for OS 7.1 under Priority Axis 7-2S61 Energy losses recorded on transmission and heat distribution networks is 0.02 %. The project’s contribution to the socio-economic development of the area is as follows: improving people’s living conditions as a result of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants; — improving the health of the population — the development of a heating system that ensures quality services to consumers, which leads to improvement of their comfort, at bearable prices. the reduction of losses contributes to reducing the costs of thermal energy and thus the subsidy to be provided by the Municipality of Iasi, and the amounts made available can be used to make investments in the building field, which benefits the city population.
