Overall objective of the project: Strengthening the reaction capacity of the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital to the public health crisis caused by the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus. The project “Strengthening the infrastructure of the Arad Emergency Clinical Hospital in the context of increasing the level of fire safety” will contribute to achieving the result indicator of the program, namely “Appropriate care and treatment capacity for cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management” by strengthening (rehabilitation/modernisation/enlargement) the medical fluid infrastructure to meet the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, due to the increased number of diseases caused by SARS-CoV-2 the pressure on hospitals has been high, thus increasing the number of hospitalisations. Through the investments made by UAT Arad County has contributed, in the last two years, to improving the medical services provided to patients in the fight with the new coronavirus. Both personal protective materials and high-performance medical equipment were purchased to combat/limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus and its extremely serious effects on the population. If, prior to the investment proposed by this project, the safe care capacity of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus was not adequate in terms of the quality of the medical fluid infrastructure, the proposed investment will significantly improve this problem in order to obtain a useful and effective response to the COVID-19 crisis, i.e. the tragedies caused by the overloading of medical fluid networks will be avoided, and patients admitted to Arad County Emergency Hospital will have access to quality and safe medical services. The installation for the production and distribution of medical fluids will be strengthened, with distribution columns up to the top floor, with minimal monitoring and alarm panels on each floor, ramifications on each level, closing taps at each salon, quick sockets for medical gases mounted in medical gas distribution consoles and electric current, according to the rules in force. Savings will also be made in terms of maintenance, maintenance, repair of installations because they will be new, and will contribute to improving the quality of the environment. Another problem identified during the COVID-19 pandemic was the interruption of the electricity supply of the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital. In the event of power interruption, the hospital remains without the supply of some consumers vital for the continuity of the operating flow, which will cause the interruption of specific activities with particularly serious and difficult quantifiable consequences. In order to solve this problem, through the project, four generators will be purchased that will generate
