Improving the existing infrastructure and increasing fire safety at Bishop Nicolae Popovici Beiuş Municipal Hospital

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the response capacity of the “Episcop Nicolae Popovici” Municipal Hospital Beius to the public health crisis caused by the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus so that it is timely and effective. The project contributes to the result indicator of POIM 2S132 — Adequate capacity for care and treatment of cases of SARS-CoV-2/infection management of the health crisis following the implementation of the project, because it will improve the safety of patients in Bihor county by installing detection, signalling, fire alarm systems, with total coverage, and signaling and alarm detection in case of exceedance of the maximum permissible concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere in order to increase the level of fire safety of “Episcop Nicolae Popovici” Beiuş Municipal Hospital. Following the implementation of the project, the institution will have the adequate ability to care and treat cases of SARSCoV-2/infection to manage the health crisis. This will be achieved by improving the existing infrastructure and increasing the safety of fires within the Hospital, which is part of the structures that use medical fluids to carry out the medical act and the electricity-intensive structures at the level of phase I and II public hospitals and COVID support, from the state health system. The proposed indicator is qualitative: • Before the LIOP intervention: No • Subsequent to the LIOP intervention: Yes Intervention capacity after project implementation: Following the implementation of the project, the Hospital will be able to apply for fire safety authorisation from the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and will have the full capacity to care and treat cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Station 1 and Station 2 will benefit from the results of the project.
