Strengthening the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis in the Educational Units of Shimleu Silvaniei

The general objective of the city of Simleu Silvaniei is to ensure the functional infrastructure and the necessary material resources in order to be able to apply the minimum sanitary and protection measures in the pre-university educational establishments during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The purpose of achieving the general objective is to ensure the availability of medical protective equipment of facial masks, and to ensure the minimum necessary hygienic-sanitary conditions, so that it is necessary to properly equip the educational units with equipment for disinfection and air sterilisation of the type of nebulisation disinfection systems, and equipment for disinfection and sterilisation of surfaces of the type of UV lamps. From the category of equipment necessary for personal disinfection that has access to educational units, more specifically teachers and pupils, it is proposed to purchase hybrid dispenser devices and disinfectant solutions necessary for the operation of these devices. While we are facing a public health crisis, equitable access to education is essential. The reopening of safe schools requires broad societal ownership and accountability for compliance with the rules imposed in the context of preventing, detecting early and reducing the potential spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Precautions are needed to prevent and mitigate the potential spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection in educational establishments. This measure aims at the national strategic interest, namely to ensure in good conditions the carrying out of the teaching activities of the school year, respectively to ensure the proper development of the public education service. At the same time, the project is in line with Priority Axis 9 of the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020: Protecting people’s health in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic through investment priority 9a: Investing in health and social infrastructures contributing to development at national, regional and local level, reducing health inequalities, promoting social inclusion by improving access to social, cultural and recreational services, as well as shifting from institutional to community-based services and Specific Objective 9.1 Increasing capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis aims at promoting investments needed to strengthen the response capacity to the public health crisis caused by the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
