Strengthening the medical infrastructure to tackle the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak at Campulung Municipal Hospital and Campulung Pneumoftiziology Hospital

Increase the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis at Câmpulung Pneumoftiziology Hospital and Câmpulung Municipal Hospital by improving the existing medical infrastructure, as well as increasing fire safety with full coverage in the two locations of the health units targeted by the project. The project aims to carry out the Type A and Type B activities in the two hospitals. Type A activities carried out within the Câmpulung Pneumoftiziology Hospital consist of equipping Grant, Stătescu and Drăghiceanu pavilions with detection, signalling, fire alarm systems with total coverage and signaling and alarm detection in case of exceedance of the maximum concentration of medical oxygen in the atmosphere, including the execution and installation scheme/project in order to ensure the fire safety requirements of construction users, for fire prevention and timely intervention in case of their occurrence. None of the 3 buildings (Pavilion Grant, Pavilion Stătescu, Pavilion Drăghiceanu), under the administration of Câmpulung Pneumoftiziology Hospital, has installed detection, signalling, fire alarm systems with total coverage, and no detection, signalling and alarm systems in case of exceedance of the maximum permissible concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere. Type B activities carried out at Câmpulung Pneumoftiziology Hospital consist of intervention works on electrical infrastructure, ventilation and air treatment, as well as medical fluid infrastructure. The electrical installations related to Grant, Stătescu and Drăghiceanu pavilions have a high degree of wear and tear and do not comply with the provisions of the regulations in force on execution and exploitation, the condition of these not allowing obtaining the operating permit. On the other hand, the buildings do not have an integrated structure of medicinal-oxygen gases, and the oxygen supplied to the patient at this time through mobile installations (oxygen concentrators) does not satisfy the requirement of the European Pharmacopoeia. Type A activities that will be carried out within Câmpulung Municipal Hospital through the project consist of equipping the buildings at the headquarters, in Str. Dr. Costea No. 8, respectively, Pavilions: Psychiatry pavilion, ophthalmology, ENT, Central block Pavilion and Infectious Diseases Pavilion, with detection, signalling, fire alarm systems with total coverage and signaling and alarm detection in case of exceedance of the maximum concentration of medical oxygen in the atmosphere, including the execution and assembly scheme/project in order to ensure the fire safety requirements of construction users, for fire prevention and timely intervention in the event of their occurrence. Type B activities carried out within the Pneumoftiziology Hospital
