The aim of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the members of the Pro Wood cluster based on innovation and internationalisation. The overall objective of the project is to increase the RDI capacity at the level of the Pro Wood cluster in the field of bioeconomy for the sustainable development of the forest sector, increase its competitiveness and quality of life. It fully agrees with O.S.1.1 of the POC which foresees increasing RDI capacity in the areas of smart specialisation, especially since, by their very definition, clusters are innovative economic structures that catalyse innovative processes in the industry. The product is a wooden glamping structure, environmentally friendly and to be placed in an ecolocation. Through this, the implementation of the project will lead to product innovation. Glamping is a new concept in tourism and consists of combining the freedom allowed by the usual camping conditions with the luxury and comfort of 5-star hotels. The concept also has a “green” meaning. In a glamping nothing is lost, everything is recycled. In addition, plastic objects are not part of the interior arrangement of these eco-stations. Instead, there are elements made of biodegradable materials, namely wood. At the same time, the implementation of the project will represent an organizational innovation, through the creation of a distributed network of industrial research and innovation in partnership for sustainable development at cluster level, through the multiple localisation of RDI equipment and the intensification of cooperation between companies. Thus, the implementation of the project will increase the level of innovation as a result of RDI activity in cooperation at cluster level, measured by indicators such as public-private scientific co-publications, no new researchers in supported entities, number of researchers working in improved research infrastructures. At the same time, the project will contribute to obtaining an innovative product as a result of the joint RDI effort, will increase the number of enterprises accessing research infrastructures and will contribute to increasing the number of members of the cluster.
