Constanta Port is managed by CN APM SA Constanta, which operates under the authority of the Ministry of Transport. The objective of CN APM SA is to ensure optimal conditions for the development of all areas of operation of Constanta Port, namely Port Vechi, Port Nou, Fluvio — Maritime area (Port 3), Port Constanţa South and Port Constanta — Midia, in the sense of strengthening its position as an efficient, sustainable and safe seaport, with an essential role in the economic development of the country. The general objective of the work is to contribute to the development of Constanta Port, the main port of Romania, serving the Central and Eastern European region. In order to align with the European Commission’s strategies for green ports and to increase the technical and economic efficiency of the use of electricity, the modernisation of the electricity distribution infrastructure has been proposed for financing from the Structural Funds. CN APM SA Constanta intends to modernise the electricity distribution infrastructure in Constanta Port in order to meet the following objectives: — the transition of the entire RED electricity distribution network from the working voltage 6 kV to the voltage of 20 kV; — modernisation of the distribution electricity grid in Constanta South Port; moving the delineation point of RED from the local distribution operator network E-DISTRIBUTIE DOBROGEA for consumers in New Port and Old Port, which is currently at the medium voltage level, at the high voltage level which allows the distribution of electricity with lower losses; — increasing the level of safety in supplying consumers; reducing own technological consumption (CPT); — development of the SCADA system that offers the possibility of directing electrical installations through dispatch; — upgrading and expanding existing electricity telemanagement systems that will allow monitoring all systems for measuring active, reactive electricity consumption (inductive and capacitive) as well as electrical power on power lines and at all electricity consumers in the Northern area of Constanta Port.
