The overall objective of the project is to make an initial investment within SC Cardiomed SRL by diversifying the activity of an existing unit, through processes that were not previously carried out in the unit, namely the development of integrated methods of rapid detection of cardiomyopathies (CM), highlighting the specific aspects of each form. Basically, the project will result in new methods of rapid and specific detection of CM (with the help of cardiac magnetic resonance and coronarography, methods implemented through the research related to this project). The innovation is given by the fact that a significantly improved service will result in the novelty of cardiomyopathy diagnostic methods, a service that will be included in the current flow of their diagnosis, both at the company level, at national and international level. This new algorithm can be defined and refined only after a rigorous research conducted together with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, which has the necessary means for testing in a real medical environment of the new method. Thus, following the research, the initial investment for the purpose of this project and in the terms of the related guide represents the investment in the tangible assets related to the diversification of the activity of the unit (through services) by introducing new technologies within the current technological flow of rapid and specific detection of cardiomyopathies, which were not previously used in the unit. The company has as general objective the promotion of investments in Research and Innovation and the development of synergies between enterprises and research centers, by diversifying the company’s activity, respectively the introduction of new detection technologies within the current technological flow for the prompt diagnosis of myocardial diseases. This will lead to significant improvement of specialised healthcare services, namely accurate diagnosis of CM, compared to the current services offered by Cardiomed SRL and even those that can be found on the Romanian market. Cardiac magnetic resonance and coronaryography for the rapid and accurate detection of CM represent innovations at the company level (they have not been used in the company) and at the level of the region and market in Romania. Cardiomed SRL wants to obtain through this project a quick and accurate method for the exhaustive diagnosis of cardiomyopathies, which will bring an increase in the life expectancy of patients with MC, but also a relief of the socio-economic burden that these diseases bring. Therefore, this innovative technological project aims to introduce innovation in Cardiomed SRL’s own activity by achieving a significantly improved service on the Romanian market and at company level for production and marketing purposes.
