The GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT is to encourage entrepreneurship and generate a number of min. 20 businesses in the 7 less developed regions of Romania, through *measures to promote entrepreneurial culture, through specific training sessions and by granting grants to students who wish to set up an enterprise in one of these regions. The 20 supported enterprises will be active in competitive sectors identified by the CNS or smart development and health areas/sub-areas identified by SNCDI. The project is subscribed to Investment Priority 10.iv (POCU 2014-2020), which aims to train and develop professional skills/entrepreneurial skills required on the labor market for 343 students, by organising entrepreneurial training sessions, by conducting a 40-hour internship in a functional firm and by engaging in one of the 5 simulated enterprises created within the project. The project contributes to the achievement of the specific objective of the call (OS 6.13) as it assumes the creation and maintenance of 65 jobs within the 20 supported SMEs. The 65 employees will also work in one of the competitive sectors defined by the CNS and/or in a field of smart specialisation cf. SNCDI. The project has a duration of 24 months and will be implemented at the level of the partnership created between: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR, as Partnership Leader), SAPIENTIA UNIVERSITY (as Partner 1), OTP CONSULTING ROMANIA SRL (OTP, as Partner 2) and COVASNA TRADE AND INDUSTRY CAMERA (as Partner 3). The partnership created, for the implementation of the project, guarantees the technical and administrative capacity necessary for the effective implementation of each stage, as well as the institutional and financial sustainability. Expertise at partnership level aims to cover all planned activities and to propose an implementation methodology focused on complementarity: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania is a representative institution for the business environment at national level and has experience in the management of de minimis schemes; it may also facilitate contact with other chamber organisations and/or firms in regional communities. SAPIENTIA University is a private, accredited higher education institution. Within the University were established faculties in three Transylvanian cities (Miercurea Ciuc, Târgu-Mureș and Cluj-Napoca). These faculties offer a wide range of specialisations, which in the 2017/2018 academic year comprises 30 undergraduate study programs and 12 master’s programmes. These programmes were organised, on the one hand, according to the requirements of the labour market in the areas of the listed cities, on the other hand, based on the educational offer in the region.
