The overall objective of the project is to increase the occupancy and entrepreneurial culture in the 7 less developed regions of Romania, by creating and developing start-ups, in fields of activity identified as future, in order to develop a competitive economy based on knowledge, by providing access to information, entrepreneurial training, personalised mentoring and counseling/consultance services, financing and support in business development, students on different levels of university education (ISCED 4-7) and PhD students. By achieving this objective, as well as the specific objectives of the project, it facilitates, in the long term, the increase of the number of tertiary and non-university graduates who find a job, as a result of access to learning activities, to a potential job/research/innovation, with a focus on the economic sectors with competitive potential, identified according to the CNS and the fields of smart specialisation according to SNCDI. It facilitates access to high-quality self-employment, sustainable in the long term, as well as reducing the period of time from completion of higher education to employment of graduates. In addition, it increases the relevance of education and training by developing entrepreneurial skills that are key competences in lifelong learning. The project supports the emergence of new innovative businesses/small entrepreneurs (job creators, with a focus on economic sectors with competitive potential identified, according to CNS and areas of smart specialisation, according to SNCDI) in urban &rural areas in less developed regions, in Romania. It also generates socio-economic growth in these regions and social innovation, developed businesses, in response to specific social challenges, based on local needs, which capitalise on local potential, including by rural participants. The project generates, as a long-term positive effect, the creation of a friendly environment for business and entrepreneurs, by motivating the people in the target group to become creators of jobs, income, development and social cohesion/innovation, in the regions concerned and, above all, to develop a competitive and innovative economy. In this way, the project contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 6 — Education and Competences; Specific objective 6.13 — Increasing the number of tertiary and non-university education graduates, who find a job, as a result of access to learning activities to a potential job/research/innovation, with a focus on economic sectors with competitive potential identified according to CNS and areas of smart specialisation, according to SNCDI.
