The overall objective of the project is to increase the safety of patients in the current context of the health crisis, by making investments, in a period of 18 months, for the modernisation/rehabilitation of the Municipal Hospital “Saint Hierarch Dr. Luca” Onesti, investments meant to lead to the development/ensuring an adequate capacity for care and treatment of SARS-CoV-2 cases. The proposed project contributes to the achievement of the objectives of Priority Axis 9 Protecting the health of the population in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in LIOP and Investment Priority 9a, by the fact that its implementation will lead to the development at national, regional and local level of safe medical services for patients, together with the necessary investments at the level of the sanitary infrastructure of the “Saint Ierarh Dr. Luca” Onesti Municipal Hospital, investments that will guarantee patient safety. The rehabilitation/modernisation/extension of medical fluid installations and indoor electrical installations will be carried out, as the Hospital has become, the COVID 19 support hospital that must serve the population in the Onesti area. Through its purpose and objectives, the project responds to the achievement of the two indicators, namely the immediate output indicator: 2S130 “Public entities equipped/supported for the management of the health crisis caused by SARS-CoV-2”, which aims to support a public entity, namely the Municipal Hospital “Saint Hierarch Dr. Luca” Onesti and the LIOP result indicator: 2S132 ‘Appropriate care and treatment capacity for cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management’. Thus, in order to contribute to the achievement of the result indicator, the aim is to ensure that the infrastructure of medical fluid installations and indoor electrical installations is strengthened in order to meet the challenges posed by the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak. At the same time, the project aims to equip the hospital to European standards where medical prevention can be done. The investment made will contribute to the achievement of the result indicator of the program, namely increasing the adequate care and treatment capacity of cases of SARS-CoV-2/infection to manage the health crisis by: • Ensuring the safety of patients even if their number will increase and will require concomitant administration of increased oxygen concentrations; • Ensuring safety conditions in a medical facility where oxygen is administered for therapeutic purposes; • Bringing to the current norms and requirements medical fluid installations and indoor electrical installations and reducing the risk of overloading these, short-circuit production, fires, etc. • timely and efficient response of the public medical system to the COVID-19 crisis; •Avoid tragedies caused by overloading of electricity networks; •
