The overall objective of the project is the timely and effective response of the public health system to the COVID 19 crisis by improving the ability to care and treat cases of SARS-CoV2 infection and to manage the health crisis. POIM 2S132 — Adequate ability to care and treat cases of SARS-CoV-2/infection to manage the health crisis: Before the intervention: NO; — after the LIOP intervention: YES, YES. The investments that will be made within the project will contribute to achieving the indicator POIM 2S132 — Adequate ability to care and treat cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Concretely, the implementation of the project will allow both the treatment of positive and suspicious cases in order to save human lives, as well as limiting the spread of this virus among the Romanian population in the context of increasing patient safety. The health unit provides specialised medical assistance to the population throughout Hunedoara County, summing up a number of 440964 inhabitants as well as the surrounding counties and all over Romania.
