Development of a space for social, community and cultural activities — objective Rehabilitation of the Bloc of Girls building

According to the Local Development Strategy of the Resita Local Action Group, a series of objectives aimed at reducing the number of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion in the Marginalised Urban Areas (ZUM) were identified and proposed for adoption, together with improving the quality of life, increasing social cohesion, improving the living environment and economic growth in the SDL territory. The purpose of this project is to develop a space for social, community and cultural activities, as a result of the rehabilitation of the C1 construction with mixed functions on the parcel identified at no. fall. 32276. Also, within the project will be refurbished the land in front of the building, no. 32276 cadastral. The arrangement will consist of improving the green space and proposing additional access points at ground floor level. The overall objective of the project is to increase the cohesion of the 5 communities from ZUM Resita and their integration into the wider community of Resita by creating a social-cultural space within the “Blocul Girls” building. The project is part of the list of priority measures proposed for the development of the SDL territory, through the measure “Increasing the working capacity and addressing poverty problems in the city by civil society”, Intervention Sheet H13 Developing a space for social, community and cultural activities. According to the Reference Study in Resita Municipality, 5 marginalised urban areas were identified. As a result of the delimitation of marginalised urban areas, 5 functional urban areas were also identified, the areas around or close to the 5 ZUMs covered by the SDL with a unitary and functional character from a social, economic, demographic and anthropogenic point of view. As a result of the project, 300 people (direct beneficiaries) will benefit, according to the intervention sheet H13 of SDL Resita, as well as the project fiche submitted to LAG Resita and approved by CES and CCS. The indirect beneficiaries of the project are the inhabitants of ZUF 1 Lunca Pomostului and the Mociur Industrial Site (6988 persons) and the inhabitants of ZUM Mociur (910 persons), in total 7,898 disadvantaged persons, as well as the rest of the inhabitants of the SDL territory, but also the inhabitants of the municipality who wish to participate in the activities described by the project. The project positively influences both the marginalised community and the local community of Resita through the proposed activities that pursue social cohesion at community level. The predetermined output indicator defined in CF has as target value 7898, which represents people living in urban areas where local development strategies have been implemented, as the name of the indicator itself says. The project will be involved/will benefit 300 people (assumed by the beneficiary), while in urban areas where SDL was implemented
