Modernisation/extension works for electrical, ventilation, air handling and medical fluid infrastructure, as well as installation of detection, signalling, fire alarm systems and in case of exceedance of maximum oxygen concentration for 9 hospitals in ASSMB Administration — “Saint Stefan” Pneumophtisiology Hospital, Children Clinical Hospital Doctor Victor Gomoiu, Coltea Clinical Hospital

The general objective of the project is the modernisation and expansion of the electrical, ventilation and air handling infrastructure, as well as the medical fluid infrastructure within 3 hospitals subordinated to ASSMB, namely: “Saint Stefan” Pneumoftiziology Hospital, Doctor Victor Gomoiu Children’s Hospital and Coltea Clinical Hospital in order to manage the health crisis caused by SARS COV-2 virus, which aims to protect the health of the population and develop public health services in a period of 26 months. Given the large flow of patients requiring hospitalisation, the main purpose of the project is to reduce the risks of overloading the electrical infrastructure, the infrastructure of medical fluids, ventilation and air treatment, as well as increasing the level of fire safety so as to facilitate the access of the population to public health services with the modernised medical infrastructure, access to health for all patients requiring admission, in order to ensure a timely and efficient response of the medical system to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The overall objective of the project is to achieve the specific objective of the call LIOP/935/9.1 Increasing the capacity to manage the health crisis and promoting the investments needed to strengthen the response capacity to the public health crisis caused by the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus. The project also contributes to the result indicator of POIM 2S132 — adequate care and treatment capacity for cases of SARS VOC-2 infection management of the health crisis (before LIOP intervention: No, after the intervention: Yes) in terms of modernisation and improvement of the medical fluid infrastructure, electrical installations and equipped with fire detection and signaling systems within the 3 hospitals subordinated to ASSMB, partners in the project.
