The general objective of this project is to establish an intelligent, state-of-the-art gas distribution system, connection and control and measurement station in Jina, Tilisca and Poiana Sibiu, in order to increase the quality of life of the inhabitants and increase the standard of living; development of smart gas distribution grids in relation to the current configuration of the national gas transmission system. The objective of the project falls under Priority Axis 8: Intelligent and sustainable transmission systems for electricity and natural gas, (OS) Specific objective 8.2 Increasing the degree of interconnection of the National Gas Transmission System with other neighbouring states. Through this project, a network for the distribution of newly established natural gas with intelligent functionality with a length of 65.297 km will be realised, thus the realisation of the project will contribute to the expansion of the smart natural gas network in relation to the total length of the distribution networks in Romania (56.694 km) and will increase the connection rate 0.115 % The level of intelligent functionality of the natural gas distribution infrastructure — 0.115 % The calculation was made by reporting = Length of natural gas distribution networks with intelligent functionalities, proposed by the project (65.297 km), in relation to the total length of the distribution networks in Romania (56.694 KM). As follows: 2S135 = 65.297 km/56.694 km)*100=0.001159866*100=0.115 %) The contribution of the project to the realisation of the public utility service of natural gas supply to the population through the intelligent distribution network is as follows: UAT Tilisca has a total of 898 households, UAT Poiana Sibiului 1231 households and UAT Jina has 1460 households, so out of the total households of 3589 will be connected 3300 dwellings, or 92 % of the total households within the communes components of ADI Transalpina Gaz. The purpose of this project is to increase the degree of comfort of the inhabitants and implicitly for the economic development of the area, it is necessary and opportune the investment on the establishment of a natural gas distribution system in U.A.T. Jina, Poiana Sibiului and Tilişca and the use of an intelligent and sustainable system. Thus, by carrying out the investment, natural gas supply will be ensured to household consumers who have indicated their intention to use methane gas in the heating activity of the premises owned, at public institutions (schools, dispensation, other categories of public institutions).
