The overall objective of the project is to improve the level of knowledge/competences/skills in the field of digital literacy of employees operating in the economic sectors/fields identified according to CNS and SNCDI in North-West and West regions by participating in the project of 315 employees in digital skills training programs (basic, advanced or courses dedicated to IT specialists) and by providing support to SMEs in the economic sectors mentioned above in order to integrate training programs in the field of digital literacy. The overall objective of the project is in line with thematic Objective 8: “Promoting sustainable and quality employment and supporting labour mobility”, with Investment Priority 10.iii “Improving equal access to lifelong learning for all age groups in a formal, non-formal or informal setting, updating knowledge, skills and competences of the workforce and promoting flexible learning pathways, including through career guidance and validation of acquired competences” and Specific Objective 3.12. “Improving the level of knowledge/competences/skills related to the economic sectors/areas identified according to the CNS and SNCDI of employees”. The project will be a prerequisite to counteract the negative effects of structural adjustments resulting from the SARS-CoV-2 economic and financial crisis by creating optimal conditions for competitiveness and accelerating the shift of economic sectors to change, especially in the field of digital transformation of SMEs. In the digital transformation processes, updating and developing employees’ digital skills is an essential process for increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in our country. In the long term, the benefits generated by the project aim to increase adaptability and competitiveness for the 315 members of the target group, by providing relevant training programs in the field of digital skills, on various levels of difficulty/complexity — basic level courses (in the field of social media and in the use of free services offered by different providers); courses dedicated to advanced users (social media/digital marketing; in the field of e-commerce; in the field of cyber security) and courses dedicated to IT specialists (programming courses in various programming languages). All activities involved in the implementation of the project contribute to the achievement of the specific objective of the program and call and will generate positive long-term effects.
