The general objective of the project is to increase the quality of educational services focused on students’ needs and equal access to education within the 3 schools involved (the “GHEORGHE MUNTEANU MURGOCI” MACIN, GIMNAZIAL GIMNAIAL SCHOOL “PANAIT CERNA” CERNA) from Tulcea County, through actions specific to non-formal education for 321 students and 40 teachers, in order to reduce the early school leaving and decrease school dropout. The overall objective of the project is in accordance with the provisions, priorities and measures included in the following national and European strategies: National Strategy on Reducing Early Leave of the School, National Strategy on Social Inclusion of Romanian Citizens Participating the Roma Minority, Strategy on Digitalisation of Education in Romania, National Strategy for Lifelong Learning, Europe 2020, National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Romania 2030. The project proposal also takes into account the recommendations of the National Strategy on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction 2015-2020, such as: Increase the participation rate and improve the results achieved by all children in primary and secondary education and increase the access of children from vulnerable groups to quality education. According to the Romanian Education Digitalisation Strategy, one of the levels of digitalisation in education is the teaching activity: teaching-Learning processes and evaluation activities (both formative and summative); counseling and guidance activities, psychological and socio-emotional support; extracurricular activities (clubs, non-formal activities); remediation and recovery; activities to promote excellence and high performance. At the same time, the project proposal correlates with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, whose general objective is “Increasing the resilience capacity of the educational system by modernising the educational infrastructure and related equipment, in conjunction with the present and future needs of the labor market, in order to ensure participation in a quality, modern and inclusive educational process”, being complementary to Reform 3. Reform of the compulsory education system to prevent and reduce early school leaving and Investment 4. Supporting schools at high risk of dropping out. The project proposal also envisages the Action Plan for Education 2019-2030, more specifically Strategic Objective 2-Promoting well-being in schools as a prerequisite for improving educational services and for the efficient use of educational resources, including digital ones, and Strategic Goal 5 — Creating the framework for all education and training providers, teachers and educational leaders to acquire the skills and tools needed to provide a horse learning experience
