The proposed actions consist of the recovery and enhancement of one of the most important cultural assets of the city, such as the Ecijano Palace. _x000D_ is intended to attract the city to religious tourism that accesses the Basilica-Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Head and also improve the capacity of attraction of the city for travelers who circulate on the highway of Andalusia._x000D_ The Palace of the Ecijano, from the end of the 17th century, located in the neighborhood of San Bartolomé within the historic center of the city and of municipal property, has had different uses throughout history and is in a precarious state. _x000D_ is a protected property that is intended to be used after its rehabilitation as the headquarters of the Museum of the Romería de la Virgen de la Cabeza, cultural equipment and exhibition center, since in that area of the city there are few such equipment. In addition, it becomes a way to energise a neighborhood whose population tends to age. _x000D_ in accordance with the provisions of Action Line 5 of the EDUSI “Recovery of buildings and enhancement of cultural heritage: Seminary Queen of the Apostles and Palace of the Ecijano, this operation is intended to regenerate the cultural heritage of Andújar to promote the development of the city, especially in a socially vulnerable area such as in which this building is located.
