THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT WILL BE THE DEVELOPMENT OF REAL-TIME ON-BOARD ALGORITHMS FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE ROUGHNESS OF THE ASPHALT AND THE DEGREE OF WEAR AND TEAR OF THE TREAD OF THE TYRES. THE PRODUCT INNOVATION DEVELOPED AS PART OF THE MEGARIDEAS PROJECT WILL CONSIST OF THE CREATION OF SOFTWARE LOGICS, TO BE IMPLEMENTED ON BOARD VEHICLES, IN THE RELATIVE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS, WITH THE AIM OF PROVIDING IN REAL-TIME AN EVALUATION OF THE ADHERENCE EXPLAINED TO THE CONTACT BETWEEN TYRES AND ROAD. ALGORITHMS WILL BE DEVELOPED, THEREFORE EASILY SOLD IN THE FORM OF LICENSES TO AUTOMAKERS, WHILE THE DATA COLLECTED CAN BE PROVIDED TO PLAYERS ENGAGED IN THE MAINTENANCE OF THE ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE AND ROAD SAFETY.
