The South Bohemian Region is second in the order between the regions in terms of the number of solid fuel boilers used for local heating of family houses. In the South Bohemian Region, the heating of households plays a very significant role in the emissions of pollutants, and therefore heating is necessarily negatively reflected in the local air quality. In order to improve air quality, it is therefore essential for the South Bohemian Region to focus on replacing outdated solid fuel boilers.
