EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 is the eighth edition of the EuroSkills competition held every two years, the largest event in Europe related to vocational training and skills development. Held every two years and organised by WorldSkills Europe with 31 member countries, EuroSkills brings together hundreds of young professionals from all over Europe who compete for the chance to become the best in Europe in their chosen skills. EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 will welcome qualified young professionals under the age of 25 from 31 countries who will take part in competitions and demonstrations in 44 different skills and competitions. About 100000 participants from all over Poland and abroad are expected. Visitors will be able to observe the players in action, as well as try out the skills related to the competition during numerous Try-a-Skill shows. EuroSkills players represent their peers from the country and are selected to compete in EuroSkills after participating in national competitions organised in WorldSkills Europe member countries. During EuroSkills, competitors must demonstrate their technical skills both individually and collectively in order to perform specific tasks in their competition. EuroSkills players are tasked with carrying out a test project or a series of projects within a strictly defined timeframe within three days. Projects require complex technical knowledge and skills that young people learn and master in school, study and on-the-job training. WorldSkills Europe experts are a key part of the EuroSkills ecosystem. Each of the 44 EuroSkills competitions requires a dedicated team of experts, workshop managers and volunteers to help the game take place. WorldSkills Europe experts represent their member country by sharing their experience in skills, commerce or technology.
