The project involves supporting older people 65+ living in the Białostock Functional Area by introducing a number of social services. This will be achieved thanks to the adaptation of the unused building located in the city centre of Wasilków at 32 Białostocka Street, on plots No 2527 (No KW BI1B/00212286/5) and 2543 (No KW BI1B/00208999/5). For this purpose, it is necessary to carry out general construction works, which will consist of the reconstruction and extension of the existing building with a communication part (adaptation to the needs of people with disabilities). The building will be equipped with driveways and a passenger crane to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. The design of the building provides for the use of solutions supporting the natural environment, i.e. mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and a heat pump. After the construction works, it is planned to purchase the necessary equipment for the proper functioning of the Wasilkowski Senior Center. In order to carry out construction works correctly and on time and taking into account the applicable legal provisions, an inspector of construction supervision will be appointed. The detailed scope of work is described in the technical documentation. The above-mentioned scope of this Project is necessary in order to launch the Wasilkowski Senior Center and introduce to the offer of social services addressed to seniors. The effect of the investment will be to create a place where older people will be covered by a wide range of different forms of social assistance care services, active forms of spending time, as well as telecare for 50 seniors. The project will be implemented from 15 February 2022 to 29.12.2023. The project concerning the reconstruction and equipment of the facility was valued at the amount of PLN 3 667 901,76. The project does not show ineligible costs. The grant amount is PLN 2 750 926,31.
