Improving oncology patient care by setting up a coordination centre for cancer care and a psychooncology team as an example of integrating telemedicine into integrated care

The scope of the activities will include construction and installation works to adapt a building with an area of 494 m² to the establishment of a coordination centre for oncology care and a team of psychooncology. 8 remote patient service stations, 4 patient service stations, 2 telemedicine stations for specialist doctors and psychooncology offices for individual and group work will be created. The scope of activities will also include equipping all workstations with furniture and computer equipment. Total expenditure in PLN: 2 006 039,20,- Eligible expenditure in PLN: 1 990 000,- Ineligible expenditure in PLN: 16 039,20 Requested co-financing in PLN: 1 990 000,- Public funding under the action as % of eligible expenditure: 100 Project Tasks: 1. Construction and installation works – construction and installation works allowing for the creation of patient service stations, and psychooncological care clinic – PLN 1 790 000,00. Purchase of equipment – purchase of office equipment, e.g. telephones, computer equipment with software, furniture – PLN 200 000,00. Duration of implementation: November 2022 – December 2023 As part of the ineligible costs, the cost of the Feasibility Study and project promotion (total PLN 16 039,20) will be financed. This project is included in the Health Sector Action Plan 2022 for the implementation of the REACT-EU ROP WZ initiative. This fact is confirmed by Resolution No 12/2022/XXVIII of the Steering Committee for the coordination of interventions of the ESI Funds in the health sector of 3 March 2022. Full use of the infrastructure functionality will be possible after the completion of the project and no additional activities are required. ZCO has staff with knowledge and experience in servicing the patient under coordinated oncological care, which will enable timely implementation of the project and maintenance of the project’s sustainability and its results.
