Marigot Maritime Station was built in 2008, lined with traditional and local shops and restaurants. The station is currently one of the two maritime stations on the island, the other located in Philipsburg. Its rehabilitation is of major interest to the French part of the island. The objectives of the project are: — Improve the reception of users by means of equipment to the standards, in particular for the reception of persons with reduced mobility, – Opening the equipment to other flows (croisierists) through a flexible space, in compliance with security obligations (PAF, control of access to docks); — Take advantage of the central position of the station and the refurbished outdoor spaces to facilitate exchanges with other modes of travel (waterfront pedestrian routes to the city centre, electric shuttles, taxis and buses for excursionists). The operation contributes to the objective of economic recovery of the activity impacted by the health crisis.
