Currently, the Grand Case and Savane wastewater collection basin is connected to the Millrum wastewater treatment plant. The Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment (EPIC), which is the EEASM, aims between 2020 and 2021 to optimise the effluent collection system by transferring the effluents from the collection basins of Grand Case and Savane to the station of Quartier d’Orléans. This project will make the treatment system more resilient, in particular by avoiding the construction of a new treatment plant in flood-sensitive areas (initial project) and by improving the resistance of transfer structures to cyclonic and submersive events (protection of electrical systems...). The work includes: • The creation of a discharge station (PR) at the Millrum site (Grand-Case) • The creation of a discharge channel between the Millrum STEP and the Chevrise PR • The resising of the Chevrise PR • The resising of the Chevrise PR channel • The resising of the Mont-Vernon PR. In the long run, this operation will benefit more than 6,500 inhabitants.
