Requalification of Places Charles de Gaulle and François Mitterrand

The requalification of Places Mitterrand and de Gaulle is an integral part of the overall project to create a real city centre in Longvic. The Place de Gaulle, treated in deactivated concrete, will integrate green spaces, allow an opening to the park and towards the future pedestrian mail connected to the town hall by a future walkway on the Ouche and will host the Sunday market and various cultural events. New tree species will be planted, urban furniture suitable for all installed such benches and water fountains, to allow a pleasant and soothing stroll. The Place Mitterrand, articulated around a large esplanade treated in deactivated concrete, will offer a forecourt to the music school and will be decorated with a green space serving as an infiltration basin for stormwater. It will be a new visual opening on the park of the renovated Château, on the Conservatory at Communal Rayonnement and will host a playground for children. This redevelopment will extend the green axis, which currently runs from the Burgundy Canal to the City Hall Park, towards the north of the commune with the crossing of the Route de Dijon.
