The Aude Department plans to set up a shredded wood boiler room to ensure the production of heating and sanitary hot water for the Antoine Courrière college located in Cuxac-Cabardès in the Montagne Noire. The purpose of this operation is to replace 5 boilers operating on fuel oil and propane. The project will contribute to the objectives of reducing fossil energy consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing renewable energy production. It is part of a very wooded medium-mountain territory and will thus help to boost the local timber sector and consolidate the economic activity of this sector.
