This project will strengthen the civil engineering structure of Duclos and Dumanzé’s catch, secure access for their operation and improve water quality for the plant. The various climatic phenomena have severely degraded water intakes that lead to a decrease in the flow to the drinking water production plant. It is urgent to strengthen these structures in order to improve the level of production and secure the drinking water supply of FORT-DE-FRANCE and Schoelcher. The design to be implemented on these water intakes consists of: —Reprofiling the threshold upstream of the Duclos water intake channel -Replace grids on the canal and valves of Duclos and Dumauzé water intakes, -Recover the foot of the threshold in its downstream part to stabilise the structure, -Improve and secure the long and difficult access to the Duclos water intake and more particularly the tunnel passage, -Secure the drinking water supply of the CACEM in case of severe climatic phenomenon
