The Agoranov public incubator was founded in 2000 by prestigious scientific institutions: the Ecole Normale Supérieure, ParisTech, Sorbonne University and the Paris Dauphine University joined in 2010 by the INRIA. Since its creation, Agoranov has received support from the Ministry of Research, the ESF, the Ile de France Region and the City of Paris. Agoranov’s mission is to incubate innovative companies. The public incubator helps entrepreneurs move forward in their project: seize opportunities, avoid frequent mistakes, make the most of their potential. In addition to accommodation, individualised support and a set of training courses in the form of an acceleration program are proposed in order to create the best conditions for success for the projects of the Agoranov community. This community has itself become one of the strengths of the incubator by allowing new entrepreneurs to find help and answer most of their questions from their peers. As of 31/12/2018, 397 projects have been incubated by Agoranov, 366 companies created and more than 10000 jobs, more than half of which are in RD. On average, 27 direct and 110 indirect jobs are created by each of the companies accompanied by Agoranov. Their loss is limited to 21 %. They have raised more than EUR 970 million in private funds and have very good results at the National Competitions (I-lab, I-nov...)
