The Murs-à-Pêches site is the subject of a strategic project for the City to enhance the heritage of its walls while re-developing its agricultural operation. In parallel, the district will be crossed by the extension of the T1 tram. In view of these future changes, the municipality aims at an inclusive approach, which aims to integrate the occupants present in the sector, either the actors having an economic or societal activity compatible with the guidelines set out, or the people residing there. It is in this context that the rehousing of Gypsy households takes on its full meaning. The present operation consists of carrying out the first phase of rehousing, with 25 households directly affected by the site of the maintenance and storage site of the T1 tram. The second phase is planned for 2023-2024. This first phase should serve as an example for the following operations (in particular the relocation of Gypsy households in the eastern part of the Walls-to-Fisheries, it is essential for the realisation of the second phase. To carry out this rehousing project, the City of Montreuil has developed a project that includes two components: — an ESF component covering the updating of previous diagnoses as well as social and family support for the duration of the project until rehousing, – an ERDF component for the feasibility study and work for the realisation of family land.
