Carrying out a study for the implementation of innovative and adapted pricing with a view to making the charging of urban transport services in the Clermont agglomeration attractive

The new ticketing project led by the SMTC-AC opens up interesting technical opportunities to think about the development of a new tariff range, more adapted to the needs of the inhabitants, more accessible and making it possible to optimise revenues. The aim is also to offer public transport services to a larger number of users, leading to the modal shift of car users to public transport. The SMTC-AC will carry out a study on the perception of titles by users and potential users; the adequacy of these titles with travel needs, lifestyle, and their available means of payment. At the same time, this study will have to be able to calibrate the tariff range to allow a positive evolution of revenues.
