The GIP PRO SANTÉ CENTRE-VAL DE LOIRE was created at the initiative of the regional authority in 2020 in order to respond to the decrease in the number of doctors, stabilise and then increase the medical supply and contribute to access to care for all inhabitants in all the territories of the Centre-Val de Loire region. It is the supporting structure of a flagship project of the regional strategy, developed in response to the alarming regional territorial diagnosis, which places the Centre-Val de Loire region as the last metropolitan area in terms of medical density. It undertakes actions and deploys its initiatives in coordination with the Local Health Contracts (CLS) which allow a partnership between elected officials (intercommunalities, municipalities, departments) and local actors to conduct reflections and actions promoting the good health of the inhabitants, especially in the areas of the attractiveness of the territory and prevention. The co-financed project consists of the creation and animation of health centres, which enable it to be competent to recruit health professionals, mainly general practitioners. Each health project declined during the creation of a CDS will be based on the priorities of the population and the implementation of human resources in the centre.
