The project consists of setting up a car park mainly intended for users of the SNCF station (but open to all), instead of the more or less anarchic parking of the Parcotrain located on the railway wasteland next to the station. This land, unmaintained and unserviceable, is to date practically impracticable and cannot meet the safety requirements of users and the movement of PRMs. The operation will be carried out on a 12 231 m² right-of-way acquired in November 2017 from SNCF network. It also includes the development of 185 m of road in continuity of the new route of the avenue du General Leclerc imagined as part of the development of a multimodal exchange pole place de la Gare. The car park will have 250 parking spaces. There is also a 10-seat motorcycle car park and a coach dock. It will be fenced within SNCF’s right-of-way, access to the switch station will be reserved for SNCF. This operation constitutes the first tranche of a total project of 500 seats and a new track to be carried out between avenue du Gal Leclerc and rue de Troyes to ensure a better service to the station (the continuation of the operation will be carried out later after acquisition of the necessary land right-of-way). The project is part of the development of the MEP, which is intended to coordinate the flows of the different modes of travel in order to promote the mobility of the users of the SNCF station.
