As a key economic activity in the Greater East Region, agriculture is currently facing the major challenges of reducing phytosanitary inputs and combating declines related to fungal diseases. The PHEBUS project aims to set up a platform for phenotyping biocontrol solutions in order to propose innovative and sustainable strategies to meet these challenges by bringing together regional research forces. For the provision of academic and industrial partners, the PHEBUS platform will allow the deployment of 3 complementary scientific strategies: (I) better understand the etiology of fungal diseases of cultivated plants to (ii) develop innovative biocontrol solutions by specific agents and (iii) combine different approaches combining genetic resistance, innovative technical routes and biocontrol solutions.
