COVID-19 Equipment/Health Mission

Since the outbreak of the Covid 19 outbreak, which has turned into a pandemic on a national and global scale, the Grand Est Region has acquired several million masks intended for target populations: — Professionals in the medical and social sector – Liberal professionals – Professionals from the economic world and more precisely companies, with the help of CCIs and CMAs. — Professionals from the Grand Est Region, to companies that have taken over construction sites ordered by the Region and to school carriers. As well as for users who do not have them, in order to guarantee equal opportunities. This operation is aimed at the acquisition and delivery of surgical masks in accordance with French regulations and the standards in force in the context of the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak. It is for the Grand Est Region to provide equitable access to care and to combat medical desertification. These acquisitions of protective equipment have been an asset in the fight against the pandemic, in complementarity with other local authorities and health actors. Masks aim to reduce the emission of respiratory droplets emitted during coughing or sneezing contributing to the spread of COVID-19. Faced with this risk, wearing the mask remains the most effective weapon in preventing the virus from passing from person to person from where the purchase of masks by the Grand Es Region
