Actions OF SENSIBILISATION INONDATION RISK – July 2020/July 2022 -on the watershed of the Aude, the Berre and the Rieu

The SMMAR (Syndicat Mixte des Milieux Aquatiques et des Rivières) was created in 2002 by prefectoral decree n°2002-2349 under the leadership of the President of the Department and the Prefect of Aude. Its purpose is to respond to the need for concerted water management and to organise flood prevention at the watershed level. SMMAR carries and coordinates a full 2015/2022 PAPI 2 (Inundation Prevention Action Programme), which was certified in February 2015. Part of PAPI 2 axis 1 concerns flood risk communication and awareness, as well as resilience information. The purpose of this project is to carry out the multi-annual flood risk awareness plan from mid-2020 to mid-2022 and follows up on the 2017-2020 awareness plan. This project also responds to the challenges dictated by the Flooding Framework Directive (IND).
