Since its creation, SMMAR alongside the State services, in collaboration with the Departments of Aude, Hérault and SDIS11, has been responsible for the animation and management of more than 246 PCS. Within the scope of SMMAR’s competence, this political will supported by 60 % by the ERDF and 20 % by the Departments, allowed in 12 years (2008-2020) to carry out and revise many CSPs in the departments of Aude and Hérault. Building on these results, a political order reaffirmed and in view of the feedback from the floods of October 2018, December 2019 and January 2020, SMMAR will continue this mission and maintain its support to the municipalities for the realisation and updating of the Community Safeguard Plans.
