The Office National des Forêts – Agence de Restoration des Terrains en Montagne des Pyrénées (RTM) and the Syndicat Mixte de la Têt – Bassin Versant (SMTBV) are working together to carry out a pilot project on the implementation of ACB/AMC-type economic evaluation approaches in torrential context in the territory of Vernet-les-Bains. The approach chosen, which will be that of methodological sharing at each phase of the project, will enable the SMTBV to appropriate the requirements of conducting ACB/AMC-type economic evaluation approaches in the context of torrential hydraulics and the gtr to improve its ability to effectively ensure the construction management assistance provided for by the general interest mission entrusted to it by the State (Ministry in charge of the environment and natural hazards). The RTM also manages on behalf of the State (Ministry of Agriculture) the RTM protection devices on the site of the Conques de Vernet (upstream of the Saint Vincent watershed) while the SMTBV acts within the framework of its powers relating to GEMAPI in close connection with the municipality of Vernet and the Community of Communes Conflent Canigou. The technical exchanges will also feed the reflection of the actors of torrential risk management on the department and more broadly the Pyrenean chain, in particular the DDTM of the Pyrenees Orientales, the DREAL Occitanie and the Regional Council Occitanie – Pyrenees Mediterranean.
