As part of a comprehensive programme to restore the rivers of the Agly watershed, the Syndicat Mixte du Bassin Versant de l’ Agly (SMBVA) will carry out 12 projects in the municipalities of Prugnanes, Baixas, Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, Sournia, Rivesaltes, Lesquerde, Cases-de-Pène, Estagel and Ansignan in the Pyrénées-Orientales. This watercourse restoration operation will aim to reduce the risk of flooding on the Agly watershed. This work will consist of the management of ripisylve (selective felling of diseased or invasive trees, removal of jams) and the management of landings (remobilisation of sediments). These yards thus cover a linear of just over 21 km of watercourses and about 81 000 m² of landings in the PO department.
