The operation is carried out by 4 farms in polyculture – livestock, located in the Somme, at the western end of the Grand Amiénois. They want to find a way to be less dependent on chemical fertilisers by substituting them with a natural organic fertiliser from our own production. They were interested in methanisation which has several interests: agronomics via digestate and intercultures, production of renewable energy and allow additional income for farmers. Through the fermentation of waste from our farms (smokers, slurries, inter-crops etc. ), Local agri-food industries (endive waste, beet pulp, etc.) and communities (tones of lawns, from landfills, etc.) a production of a renewable gas directly injected into the local network and the digestate resulting from this process will provide an excellent organic fertiliser needed for the soils of the farms.
